Complete (full) dentures are designed to replace all the teeth in an arch. It is a single appliance, composed of a full set of natural looking prosthetic teeth in a gum-colored base. Your restorative dentist will use precise impression techniques to capture the subtle contours of your gums. This ensures a snug, yet comfortable fit that creates natural suction holding the denture in place. If needed, you can add a small amount of denture adhesive. Classic dentures are removable for easy cleaning.
This appliance is ideal for the patient who needs to replace multiple teeth, but not the entire arch. The design is highly customized, depending on the number and location of teeth to be replaced. Most often, it is fitted with special clasps that snap over teeth near the gap. A partial denture is easily removed for cleaning, but very secure and stable in the mouth. It is artistically designed to match your remaining teeth, for a fully functional and natural looking smile.
